Edible oils are a staple category, but not all oils are produced the same way. The processing method shapes flavour, nutrition and price.
Cold-pressed (kachi ghani)
Cold or wood pressing extracts oil at low temperatures, preserving aroma and natural nutrients. It yields less oil per kilo of seed, so it costs more and suits premium, health-focused positioning.
Refined oils
Refining uses heat and processing to produce a neutral, shelf-stable oil at lower cost and higher volume โ ideal for price-sensitive bulk buyers.
Position accordingly
When you list an oil, be explicit about the method. Buyers searching for cold-pressed mustard or groundnut oil are willing to pay more, but they expect the quality and documentation to match.
